The Albatros is a stunning 26-foot boat, manufactured in South Carolina by Sea Fox Boats (www.seafoxboats.com), renowned for its exceptional hull design, ideal for offshore cruising. Equipped with a center console and comfortable head, it ensures a safe and comfortable experience in the ocean.

Captain Frank Martinez
Frank Martínez, originally from La Cruz, Costa Rica, has spent much of his life immersed in the water, developing an extraordinary connection with the ocean. As a bilingual captain fluent in English, Frank combines his deep-rooted passion for the sea with a solid professional foundation as a tour guide, having completed a four-year university degree in tourism.
Frank is not only an expert navigator but also a skilled fisherman with years of experience mastering techniques that guarantee successful and enjoyable fishing trips for his guests. His knowledge extends beyond fishing; he is well-versed in various water activities and is a certified kite surfing instructor, making him a versatile and invaluable resource for those seeking adventure on the water.
Known for his dynamic personality, Frank brings energy and enthusiasm to every trip, ensuring that each guest feels comfortable and engaged. His patience and charisma shine through as he shares his vast knowledge of the region, captivating stories, and expert guidance, creating an atmosphere that is both welcoming and exciting. Our Trilingual "Marinero" (Ay Miguel)
Accompanying Frank, you will have the pleasure of meeting our Canadian marinero, a resident of Costa Rica for over 30 years, with 15 of those years dedicated to life at sea. His mastery of three languages—Spanish, English, and French—ensures that all guests feel not only understood but also genuinely cared for throughout their journey. Proactive and charismatic, he is the kind of person whose warm and friendly nature immediately puts everyone at ease.
Beyond his extensive experience in fishing, where he assists in every detail from rigging the lines to cleaning the day’s catch, he also stands out for his eagerness to share his vast knowledge with others. Whether you’re a seasoned angler or a first-timer, he is always willing to patiently teach and guide you, making the adventure not only enjoyable but also educational.
His diverse skill set doesn’t end there—he is also an active Boy Scout of Costa Rica, a background that enriches his ability to lead, solve challenges creatively, and foster a spirit of teamwork and adventure on board. Frequently, he takes the time to prepare fresh ceviche from the day’s catch, adding a culinary highlight to your experience on the water.
